Lato
Lato is probably going to be your best bet when trying to find a Google Font that closely matches Maison Neue. It does a great job in matching almost all the lowercase letters. Both are clean looking sans-serif fonts.
The major difference in lowercase is the "g". It sticks out like a sore thumb, but does great on all the other letters.
In the uppercase, the main differences are going to be in the "J", "Q", and "M". Aside from these three, the other letters are a pretty close match.

Open Sans
Open Sans will also work as a good alternative. Much like Lato, the lowercase "g" really sticks out. You will also find a difference in the lowercase "y" too. Aside from that, it does a great job matching a lot of the lower case letters.
Uppercase is also very similar. The main differences are going to be in the "Q", "G", and the "J'. Those you will be able to see pretty clearly. Otherwise, it is a pretty close match.
